Little brother

Hello! From Larisa’s little brother.
I am happy to introduce myself again to Larisa’s circle. Check out our slide show by clicking on the Primary Link to the right, Larisa’s Slide Show.

Many of you know me already in some form or other, Clark Helms, we can post a picture of me by our Grandmother’s front door that I took today for this site. Our family grief is deep as we have now lost, in this quarter of the year, the two senior members of our family, one being our big sister. Only my younger sister and I are left in our family. We know just what to do; be honest and let mourning play out! To close this short re-introduction, accept this from the depths of our souls that we admire our sister tremendously for being a childhood prodigy and ‘busting brush’ ahead of Alison and me in so many areas of our young lives together.

This picture taken by our civil engineering father is from 1959; one of our childhood favs. Larisa must have been six and I two. Taken behind our house in New Hampton, Iowa…kids of a civil engineer and Commander of the Seabees, who else would go play submarine in a drainage pipe? I easily remember the very moment so click on the attachment link in either case for an enlargement. That weggie looks painful whilst I was trying to get ashore!

This shot is great of Larisa in the early ’60’s with the rest of the family…look at the motivated smile of our younger sister Alison!

Wow! No wonder the boys beat a path to our front door.

This photo is of Larisa and our younger sister again, both holding black cats in Kansas City around Christmas ’64.

Here is Larisa as an adult not so long ago in the middle ninties.

Another great setup for a kodak moment. We added this one on Larisa’s birth day to celebrate her birth to our Helms family. We respect that many of you knew her in another form of life; another portion of life outside our little family. We thank you for loving and embracing her into her new fam, away from home that we shared with her for such a brief time, Alison and me.
